No homebrew left, so onto commercial beer until I can get another brew day. Every cloud though...

Just got back from our favourite farm shop and as always I brought home a small selection of goodies.

I decided for no particular reason to start with the red rye from Iron Pier. It’s nice though is a little hazy and has quite a hard bitterness on the finish.

Nice selection. Interested to hear East you think of the Zot Dubbel. I liked it a lot.

I've never seen the film but the beer is decent. Good solid dark beer. Apparently one of the cast ran a pub locally.

Great Italian Pilsner from Duration
Had it before and I'll be getting it again
Hopped with Saphir and Mittelfreuh. Got the hops to try and brew something similar next month

I do know most of the beers from Time & Tide so I know what I’m getting here. In fact I know most of the beers I bought today. There are three though that I don’t remember trying before and that intrigue me, the imperial chocolate stout at 10%, the barrel aged barley wine which is also 10%, and the golden Spitfire at 4.3%.

Second of the two dark beers I picked up at the brewery shop today. It is a good roasty-toasty dry stout. More aggressive than the Porter which feels right to me. Another good solid beer.

I am very critical of this style of beer. Its one beer style I struggle with.

 

[Little Rock Brewing]

Commercial brew before I smash into the home stash. Distinct orange flavour which I quite like. Azacca, mosaic and chinook hops. Might have to check my hop stocks for tomorrow.

SKYE RED IS excellent as are the other brews they make - recommended
