This is the golden version of Spitfire. I was intrigued but also a bit nervous about this one because I like Spitfire and was worried what they might have done with it. It’s actually okay and not so different to regular Spitfire, a bit lighter, a tad more citrus - but subtle.

Still can't upload photos but carrying on drinking nevertheless. Just had a bit of dinner and had two pints of nice English ipa, or perhaps a Welsh ipa, it was brewed in Wales after all. Called bluestone by Glamorgan brew co, brewed just for the holiday resort.

Last of the day's purchases. When did Schneider Weisse start canning? Anyone know if they are can-conditioned with fresh wort like the bottles would be?

Just had one of those. But was in a bottle. Very nice.

A foreign export stout from kinnegar 7.7%

Mystic-Maris Otter Smash (5.6%) 68 IBU

For a really simple recipe this gave a very nice result, an easy drinking pale ale.

Festival kit...New Zealand Pilsner,18 months in the bottle, still very hoppy,fruity with a citrus bite and a refreshing crisp bitterness to finish.Very nice..cheers all,enjoy your evening.

This stuff gets a bad rep because it's a quid a pint in spoons, but it's OK in a ordinary bitter kind of way. Very malty! I quite like it.

I'd give that spot to either the mild, or rocking Rudolph, depending on my mood, but it is a nice drop.
