English Bitter to start tonight.

Not quite the first beer of 2022 but the first HB.... first look at latest Vienna APA. Bottled just before Xmas and now carbed. Idaho 7, Azacca and Cascade. Verdant dry yeast. Missing a bit of fruity oomph on the palate (technical tasting term) but more than passable and should improve over the next few weeks. Happy New Year all.

Another English Bitter. This one is from my latest batch. It wasn’t quite clear two days ago but is looking pretty clear now.

Last night in Wales for a week or two so have to start with a Welsh one which is a cracking combination of cascade columbus and centennial. I will try to refill the bottle with something similar but I fear it will be a pale shadow though the label is pretty!

A bottle of my 4 week old golden promise hoppy beer. It’s very pleasant to drink now it’s sat for a while. Much better than at the beginning.

Put it in a nucleated glass and it’s enhanced it further. Especially the aroma!
