I would say with the longggggg boil you have heated the mcb/rcbo and it’s thermal overload properties have kicked in 🤷‍♂️
I am hoping that's it, will look if I can split the load on the board, split across two rings, but I think (can't remember) probably the same rcd, not mcb tripping. Rcbo's on the lighting circs if I recall.

As its the rcd, I need to investigate if my recent rat problem has anything to do with it, need to find my multifunction.

Depends on the set up of the board split board will have all sockets in the house on 1 side. If it’s the rcd went then the thermal overload thing dosnt apply.

RCBOs all the way are always the best bet. I moved all my circuits over a few years ago when I experienced odd unaccounted trips. In the end I convinced myself it was aggregated leakage from dozens of cheap chargers and lighting transformers. Not had a circuit trip since….touch wood!

Anyway, what am I drinking? I might have a bit of a mix tonight as I’ve nothing in need of an empty keg for a few days. Starting with a Mild while waiting for a couple of steaks to come to room temp.

Intermittent faults are my worst nightmare. Trying to explain to a tennant that if it’s not tripping when I’m there it’s very hard to find is always met with a blank face 😡

It's at my unit which is basically storage but half is my brew shed, also have security lighting etc for outside, but I put two separate rings in LH/RH to not overload one mcb with two brewzillas and an urnmheatera in the winter and the fridges.

Same with boilers, I always apologise and say my crystal ball is in for service and calibration, so would they like my best guess or come back again🤔 😂

😂😂
90% of the time it’s their own bloody appliance causing the issue. But sure if you don’t have to pay for the callout call away (spark for social housing)
