Hazy pale next for me. First beer using the 30 litre all rounder. Hop compo just isn't working for me. H-blance wai-iti and waimea. Hard to believe but H-blance is to dominate which doesn't say alot about the other two.

Just back from watching Violent Night at the pictures, and I’m having guest beer.
A clone of Maz Pale Ale kindly sent to me by @phildo79. I’m not familiar with the original, but this is right up my straßa.
It’s hop forward with tonnes of grapefruit citrus and a bit of spice. Bitterness is high, properly high in a good way. It’s got great length of flavour, with lingering hop citrus and spice. It’s another stellar brew from phildo, thank you very much for sharing.

Went to get another lager but saw this old classic looking back at me and I fancied something stronger

A bottle of my English IPA. Brewed in the summer, it's a lighterweight version than normal as my efficiency was off that day (5 and a bit %, rather than 6 plus) but it's makes it very drinkable. Lovely classic ale with plenty of Goldings character. Cheers all.

Arrived in Brixham for New Year after a 6 hour drive so trying Blackberry Stout I made here. Can’t detect any blackberry flavour at all but tastes ok. Made it with Range stout kit.

Bottling a pale that’s been sitting on the turb for about 2 months. Clear as glass.
Poured a brown porter from Greg hughes book but got more efficiency than normal and it came out around 8% and pitched the yeast without my glasses that turned out to be a Belgian yeast tastes lovely though

Down in deep SW. Found this in a local shop. It's very good. Like dark chocolate with a hint of sea salt - though no actual cocoa/chocolate in the beer to my knowledge. Might try this at home. Only criticism is some exuberance on opening that led to some minor gushing.
