First pour of a Belgian dubbel that ended up a Belgian strong. It's 8%, this taste is just to make sure everything is ok. It's only a week in the keg so obviously it's early days. Normally I would bottle this style of beer.
First impressions are very positive, I will age this beer for a few months now. Maybe trying a small beer every month

Not sure if it’s cause it’s winter and cold here in the Market but I’m preferring darker beers of late so. The Stout was the nicest followed by the Porter then the IPA n Sour

It’s in Oxford Market. My wife used to work here at the Radcliffe (not the infirmary) many years ago so we have come from my Birthday, and still love the place.

I would second that recommendation, it is only open market hours so during the day but also is closely linked to the next door wine shop, and own the pizza stand one stall along (so you can have a beer and a pizza or other food bought from within the covered market). It’s mostly their own beer sold (Church Hanbrewery) as well as a few other local breweries.

Fancied a bit of a lager evening.
It's a double header to start. My German style pils is on the right and @Hazelwood Brewery czech pils on the left. Only reason I am drinking both is because I presume he used pilsner malt whilst mine is with Hana. First thing you will notice is the different colour, mine is much lighter. The differences don't end there, mine as more hop aroma whilst Hazel's is more malt forward. Taste wise,mine is cleaner, slightly more bitter and fruitier. His is more spicy hop profile and a hit of dectyl coming through. Very different beers but both very drinkable.cheers for sharing, I will make sure I send a bottle over to you

Sticking with the German theme. A marzan by duration. Not as nice as the Germans make but won't complain. Need to put this onto next year's brew plan. Anyone got a tried and tested recipe?
