Second taste of my oatmeal stout. Carbonation is still some way off optimal, but past experience suggests that it will continue to improve (26 days in the bottle). Tastes just lovely, though, so smooth, with hints of coffee and chocolate. Bit reluctant to increase priming; I'll see how it is in another ten days or so.

Lastly from Wild Beer is a Ron's NZIPA. The hops are Nectaron and Nakau.
The can says, "This style of beer is best stored cold and drunk fresh".
Its BBE is 06.02.2022 and was stored throughout the Summer in the garage when the temperature reached 43C.
Does that count?
Obs. does, as it tasted fine. 😜

Brew day today first off the ranks was an ice cold Bohemian Pilsner.

Finally a robust porter, first I have made (usually a brown porter) a nice deep Mahogany colour, good lacing and lovely roasty taste.

Still feeling a little delicate after last nights beer festival which I must say was fantastic with some great beers on offer.

Don’t tend to go for dark beers but I’m finishing off the last of the birthday beers, must say it’s rather nice.

Whiplash - Quiet Crowd Robust Brown (5%)
