A new for me and wasn’t expecting it to be Cherry flavoured, nice though.
A Kasteel Rouge.

Just tapped a five litre keg of Archer Best Bitter (Greg Wheeler Recipe).

This has become my standard bitter recipe (grain bill is 95% Maris Otter 5% Medium Crystal) hopped with progress and Whitbread Golding. I was a tad worried that this batch was fermented a little warm (SO-4 peaked at 25°C) but no fusel alcohols or unpleasant off flavours has a slightly floral taste, with some underlying bitterness. All in all seems very promising cheers all.

Just in from work
Wife’s away for the weekend so a pint of first gold ipa in the middle. Early pour just to test of

a fuggles and bramling English ipa on the left and an attempt at a hazy pale with mosaic sabro late additions and citra on the dry hop.
The English ipa has lots of malt flavour and subtle hop flavour with nice bitterness
The hazy is just a hop bomb with lots of tropical, citrus and a mild coconut taste.

They all look good, it must be bleak in craggy island tonight 🌊

Ahem.
2 SMALL ones are for testing only.
And if she was here I would still have poured 3. I just would have drunk 2 of them in the shed not brought them into the house 😜
Mind you with some of the weather around tonight I think I might be getting a selection from the beer fridge.

Decided to brave the rain and walk to the garage for a bottle of Graham Wheeler Ruby Mild Clone

Picture doesn’t capture the Colour well which is a dark Ruby red rather than black. Actually first bottle of the batch I’ve tried (brewed back in April put It out in the garage and forgot about it). Beer is carbonated perhaps slightly too much, and has a fruity malty flavour. At 6% this certainly isn’t a session isn’t a session beer although is as easy to drink as one.
