I am never buying any bespoke brewing beer again. No idea if it’s meant to be bottle conditioned but has loads of floaty bits in it and tastes a bit rank. Going down the drain this one.

The plum porter is utterly foul.

36 min boil done.
Just waiting to the wort drops to 80 to do a hop stand so poured another.
This has mellowed a fair bit and the bitterness has rounded out a bit. It needed it with over 300g first gold in it.

My competition Hefe, another 24hrs on gas and it’s hitting its stride. Flavour profile is great, with the esters edging ahead of the phenols. I’m liking how WLP300 has performed, and keeping fermentation at 17C throughout has allowed the clove flavour to develop nicely. Looking forward to the judges feedback on this one.
