American IPA before I put all the cushions away, we’re expecting thunder lightning and a deluge tonight. Exciting!

On the Isle of Lewis visiting the McMarshbrewers. Drinking anything Scottish I can find (including Tennents Special, which is strangely nice in a sort of light mild kind of way, even though it's a 70/- ale). On the Red death tonight.

Compulsory holiday photo.

Not sure there's a similar thread in the wine section, but I'll post here anyway.
Lucky dip into my wine rack, pulled out a dusty champagne bottle, no label of course ....

No sparkling wine but my finest wine ever (no bragging) ... Red Gooseberry, about 5 years old, I thought I had only one bottle left (with a label!) but not complaining.

Absolutely wonderful, nice rose colour, very tart, in a good way, smooth mouth feel and strong. I will consume this in small doses. I'll post a photo next time I have another glass.

While posting I’d also like to say I was deeply disappointed with the weather forecast. We were promised crashing thunder, a blinding display of lightning, and a deluge of rain. What we actually got was grey sky and drizzle! The former is exciting energy, the latter just miserable. Sorry, rant over. 🤣

Now, where’s my beer?
