After all that Eurofizz over the last week, I chanced in a small bottle of mine in the garage that was filled as a safety release of the unintentionally self-conditioning cask of my first Pilsner.
And yes, it has retained a slight fizz.
And its good Pilsner malty flavour. 🍻

It's been a busy weekend (and week), and rather missing catching up with you all here online. Yesterday evening we took a bit of time out in the garden since it was warm enough to sit out and enjoy the last bit or light. Enjoyed this yummy number kindly sent by @Tess Tickle 'Wheat Child O Mine' which I forgot to photo till I'd had half of it (that good 😍). I'm not sure why I keep telling myself I don't like wheat beers since this is a creamy, citrus, clove spice, hoppy bitter concoction that reminds me of the old galaxy chocolate advert of 'why have cotton when you can have silk'. It's a really well balanced beer and my one regret was drinking half of it in front of the chiminea so I tasted a bit of woodsmoke while drinking it.

Thanks so much Anna! 😘

Got up. Did loads more gardening / landscaping. Went to the pub for a pint, accidently had four pints of Landlord. Came home, did a roast dinner then back outside to do some more gardening / landscaping. Back inside now drinking my kegged SAISON!!! which is very nice; very impressed for my first ever attempt. Crossmyloof's Wallonia yeast is great, I'm pretty sure it's Belle Saison. What's most impressive is how quickly this has carbed up and conditioned - 10 days!

Lovely lemon and Belgian notes; dry but in a drinkable way rather than in a face sucking way.

We've just been given this box of six beers and a glass by a German couple who've just had a long weekend here. Never heard of this brewery, but it seems to have won it's fair share of awards. It's made on a German island up by Denmark, aapparently. The packaging is so amazing I'm loth to break into it, but it will happen. And soon.
