Yes...I have started using the keg instead of a bottling bucket. So much less wastage compared to the bucket
I started doing it to avoid O2 pickup, and also because the counter pressure filler is far quicker than the bottling wand. It takes an extra 5 or 10 minutes to get set up, but it’s worth it.

Yes I started for the same reason. I have a counter pressure filler that I attach to the tap for comp filling off keg. When I'm bottle conditioning filling I just use a picnic tap with a tube on the end to get the bottle of the bottle. I'm not as concerned about the 02 with the refermentation in the bottle and it's definitely easier than the taps on the bucket.
Although thinking about I probably could use the counter pressure filler via the kegerator 👍🏼

Oh, I’m liking the idea of the party tap. Much less of a faff to set up 👍

Just arrived home to find “Wheat Child of Mine” on the doorstep, kindly sent by @Tess Tickle.
Unfortunately, the crown cap wasn’t up to containing hefe levels of carbonation and there’s been a bit of beer loss in transit, the good news is the bottle opens with a satisfying hiss, and what’s left inside is unspoilt.
There’s buckets of wheat sweetness on the nose and palate with a fermentation that’s slightly towards the clovey phenols. That’s precisely what I shoot for when I brew these myself.
Top marks for the brew, and also the label and the name😂. I’m kicking myself for not thinking of that one first. Thank you for sharing it.

I worked out what was happening with the Session IPA. I had turned the gas down to fill bottles so it’s been sitting on 5psi for two weeks. A 24hr burst carb has breathed a bit of fun back into it! (apologies to @Applesnmore for more keg talk, I’ll stop now)

I have done that a few times although I do tend to remember by the morning

Oh no!

Looks a really bizarre colour on the pic lol. What a disaster from start to finish, I'm so sorry.

My air pump broke and I had to improvise, which means I couldn't be sure the bags were inflated properly.

At least you got to try some of it.

Must do better! Ugh.

No worries, the flavour is spot on and you’ve got the fermentation right which is key for hefeweizen. And I loved having sn excuse to crack open a beer before I’d even got through the front door. Cheers again
