Saw that recipe and added a tab to the page as the blossom should be out soon looks good.
Yep, I used dried in mine and increased the quantity, think it could stand a bit more. I'll be looking to snag some fresh if the opportunity presents, busy couple of months coming up though!

Nice work! Was that your first AG?
Thanks but no I first did AG in 1986 with an Electrim bin which after infections in the 90s I put it away in despair. Resurrected it last year replaced the tap and have had some great brews but a recent medical condition severely iimits consumption but the upside is that I have always got a nicely matured pint!

Time to go large with @The-Engineer-That-Brews Hepeweizen which is a beer style I have no idea at all about.
It’s a bit Woah that’s not what I expected - flavour wham from the off. First thought Is old fashioned hard boiled pear drops, Belgian type phenol and esters predominate with creamy sweetness and a sherbet zing. After that first taste there’s. Full on banana with a bready middle mouthfeel ending in pear.

Crikey that’s a mashed banana and white bread sandwich sprinkled with crushed pear drops….in a beer 🤪. I’ve never tasted anything quite like it.

My last pint of Irish Stout using the recipe from the homebrew challenge YouTube channel as a base. Probably one of the best stouts I’ve made so far!

Although I’ve got an oatmeal stout in the fermenter and grains for another from The Brewing Porters and Stouts book byTerry Foster which is this years theme! I’ve also done a couple of the porters and they are fantastic as well!
