We went to check out the rooftop bar but there were no staff up there and no customers, so we settled for the ground floor bar.

Thanks to the Brewdog now app, we haven’t even had to leave our table, and have ordered a round of drinks via the app.

Husband has a pint of Jet Black Heart and I have half of a North vs South DDH IPA. Been a long day so we’ll probably give in after this one. Perhaps we’ll be tempted by a shower beer in our room later on.

We are at Northern Monk Refectory now. Jim has a Faith, and I have a strawberry ale. Tastes really strongly of coconut. I’m guessing this has got sabro hops in it. Never had them though so don’t know.

Edit: I think it’s the tonka bean I can taste.
