Another bitter for me.
Hi H can I just ask you a quick question please when you make pilgrim bitter I notice you use some golden naked oats , do you crush them first or not as I’m using some in a hazy and am not to sure to crush or not to crush.. cheersThis is it but on the sheet I’ve made a small change in the quantity of roasted barley (from 40g to 20g) because I felt it was a little dark.

Edit: I’m planning to lift the bitterness a little next time too.

It doesn’t look oxidised are you sure that’s what you can smell? Now I’m sampling a bit of my latest brew too. It’s a citra and simcoe IPA. Nowhere near ready yet and there’s still a lot of yeast in suspension, but hopefully it’ll be ok in a couple of weeks.
The lighting is terrible but I think I’ve managed to almost capture what colour it is!

Edit: - I take it all back! I don't think this is gonna be any good. I can smell the oxidisation! Damn it Janet!

Ah yes, that does look like it could be oxidised. This is how it looks when it’s not held up to the light. Frankly I want to pour it all down the sink. But the husband won’t let me lol
Had the worst day today. This is the cherry on top.

Oh dear hope tomorrow is a better day for you. I seen yours and had to pop to the shed to check on my one. Thankfully it’s grand. This is how it looks when it’s not held up to the light. Frankly I want to pour it all down the sink. But the husband won’t let me lol

it’s never easy to pour but it’s better than drinking bad beer
I discovered my keg has a small gas leak I can hear it popping and I had to top the gas up again there. Always something.
