And back to Europe to accompany the Monkfish,
Greek white wine.

That's posh Greek wine.
Thema from Drama, Northern Greece.
A blend of Assyrtiko indigenous grape and Sauv. Blanc.
Their Red blend was great with chargrilled steak when there, so brought some of those, and this white back to remember those days of easy foreign travel.
 
Trying a Harrison’s Porter. This beer is dark brown rather than black and it didn’t look perfectly clear as I poured it. The aroma though is nice, chocolate and a little alcohol. The flavour is also chocolate and is followed by coffee but for me the flavour is not as clean as I’d expected, possibly due to some sediment?
