Today I’m starting with a pint of Dark Mild. If I haven’t drunk it all by then, this is the beer I’ll be entering in the Black Friday Homebrew Competition next month.

It's a bit early in the day for me, but I popped into Aldi today (the search for bread-flour!), and scarfed up these two. Anyone any experience?
Almost worth it just for the bottles! Although I don't think I could re-use the black one.
The black bottles, there were two types, but I only bought the one. 'Rum-finished beer, 5.5%' it says.

Wahey - My long weekend starts tonight!! Halloween Van Camping Weekend....it'll be messy!
Summer Breeze in the late(?) afternoon sun. Hoppy fruity flavours are just starting to show themselves now. 
It’s our Friday today as the hubby has a four day weekend coming up - so I’ve broken out the rhubarb stuff ha ha! My Christmas wine needs to hurry up and be ready, I’m sick of this stuff! 
Ah, the old "I only went in for flour, darling" excuse.
On a more serious note, I saw the triple last time I was in Aldi ( for "flour"
) and didn't pick it up because it looked a little low on ABV for a triple (it's around 5.5% I think?) but would be really interested what's it's like as I like a nice triple. So keep us updated.
A small chilled glass of solera amontillado. I am out of beer so partaking of the cocktail ingredients.
Bit of beer ticking while I'm up here in The Outer Hebrides. Bog standard commercial 70/- ale. Sort of reminds me of a sweeter light mild Not to bad, I'm sure I could sup this all night if it was on keg and it was the only thing on offer, but wouldn't search it out.

Might crack one of my Directors tonight. It won't be ready, it's only been in the bottle a week, but I'm curious to see how it pans out.

The triple is 6%, 750 ml.
I shan't be drinking it tonight, cos it's my night down the pub, but maybe tomorrow. I'll report back, but as I've never drunk a triple in my life before, I may not be the best judge!
I got the last three bags of bread-flour!
I'm going to have to visit the Hebrides some time - spent a lot of time visiting far away places but not explored the ones closer to home
