Last up tonight, mostly because I’m thinking of brewing another. Toasty malts with a bit of caramel, lots of clove and banana all in perfect balance. Yum yum.
Must see if GEB have Wy3068 in stock at the minute.

Haven’t been in Ballyshannon for years, now we’re staycationing again a wee trip round Donegal would be a fine idea. My local saucerer has got Horny Bull in at the minute, I’ll have to pick some up.

Moved on to Squealing Pig, and much better. There’s a bit more sweetness on the malt side, hops are more floral with a bit of pine too. Medium bodied and better balanced. Id buy this one again.

Hope you didn’t buy any of the spitin lama they do as it’s bloody rank.
if your floating around Donegal a pint can always be had around carndonagh on the way to marlin head. I won’t even charge 😜

Didnt get any Llama thankfully, I’ll give a wide berth next time, If I end you round your parts, I’ll make sure I’ll bring some bottles for a swap.

I had a good productive day today so time to celebrate with a guest ale from @Benfleet Brewery This is a Kolsch at 4.7%.

The beer is a beautiful crystal clear golden colour. Carbonation is maybe a little soft for the style but despite the picture (taken a minute or so after pouring) it’s certainly not flat and I know this was bottled from the keg so I’m sure from keg it’s a bit more lively.

The aroma is mild malt, like soft white bread crusts. There’s also just a touch of spicy fruitiness, I’d say with a hint of apple. Otherwise very clean.

Flavour is nice, clean mild malt, just a hint of apple fruitiness, mild bitterness. Soft mouthfeel and medium-light body, finishing dry.

This is going down very quickly and very easily and I’d happily spend an afternoon in the sun with a few more bottles ;)

No wife and an unexpected day off tomorrow means an earlier start than normal for a wednesday, this ones my bramling x ipa, only 2 weeks in the bottle, it needs longer but I'm pleased to say it's far nicer than the sample I had at bottling.View attachment 47876
Unexpected day off!? How fortunate.
My mouth is watering at the thought of a Bramling X IPA. I shall have to make do with a Bramling X bitter in about 45 minutes when I've finished work...
