I’m starting with this one tonight. It’s nice but I think I’m starting to figure out I’m not so keen on watermelon flavours in beer.

I am considering doing the same with 10 bottles of the latest Belgian table beer. I think you did something similar, just add it with a syringe before capping
Yeah I put a couple of ml in each bottle. Worked a treat last time. £10 on beer and you get some Brett to use on the homebrew..good deal😬

First up tonight, a West Coast IPA from a brewery thats about 15 miles from me and next door to GEB by the looks of things. First time I’ve had one from them.
Very citrusy aroma, flavour is all American hops on a biscuity malt backbone. Bittering levels are high and the finish is dry. I’m not getting any yeast flavours at all so guessing it’s a neutral US strain. Low to medium bodied in keeping with the lowish ABV.
It’s OK, but not fantastic. I prefer a bit more body and a more balanced bitterness/ABV.

I haven't tried that, probably their best offering is the horny bull stout.

You should give this off license a try on your travels

I got two imperial stout today out of it. A friend was passing

Haven’t been in Ballyshannon for years, now we’re staycationing again a wee trip round Donegal would be a fine idea. My local saucerer has got Horny Bull in at the minute, I’ll have to pick some up.

Moved on to Squealing Pig, and much better. There’s a bit more sweetness on the malt side, hops are more floral with a bit of pine too. Medium bodied and better balanced. Id buy this one again.
