Well deserved guest ale from @Hazelwood Brewery after an epic battle with the neglected back lawn.
This has got a lovely orangey hop aroma and juicy orangey flavour, with an assertive bitterness.
A little sweet maltiness to balance and cleanly fermented make it the perfect pint for a thirsty gardener
:hat: acheers.

Next up a neipa from @samale.
It survived the journey well mate. No oxidation 👍
Tropical fruit and slightly dank aroma, juicy and smooth.
It does have a little bitterness in the middle but fades away in the finish. Really nice :hat:

Cheers Dan I was a bit nervous sending this one. First time bottling of the keg. Glad you enjoyed it 👍

I’ve been a bit absent over the last few days, thankfully because the social scene is starting to open up. Friday was homebrew club, Saturday was pub day (we spend the day at the pub), yesterday we visited friends and I took a couple of litres each of pale ale and bitter.

Next weekend might be busy too, we have another pub day planned (different pub), and we have a family BBQ planned - looks like the weather should be good for us 🤞

Back to work tomorrow after four weeks paternity. It's going to be rough. Having some medicinal beers tonight.

I'm also having a month off the beers after tonight, I've put on a stone this month! 😅

I’m not sure you should return to work AND give up the beer, that’s too much sacrifice 😭

First tonight is a guest ale from Hopsteep, his Tribute clone. It's been in the fridge for a couple of days and has a bit if chill haze, opens with a "pssst" and pours with a small head that lingers and laces the glass.
As a Tribute clone is a bit of a project of mine I'd say it's not Tribute-esque...for me the trait hop in Tribute is Willamette, which I find distinctive and it's lacking at this time. My first few attempts were the same which I solved with a hopstand at 80c rather than a dry hop.
However, this is a very nice, flavoursome EPA which became quite aromatic and juicy as it warmed up a bit... definitely better a bit warmer. Bitterness is spot on. To summarize...I like it a lot,it's a fine tasting, easy drinking pale which I could easily spend a nice sunny afternoon on..
Thanks for sending!

Well we'll see how my first day goes. I'm fairly certain they aren't going to be impressed by my availability 😂

Next up...

Similar to the first one but this one is nicer. It's got a sweet candy aroma and taste to it that the other lacks. 8.8% abv too.

Maybe I'll just quit my job and carry on doing this every night.
