Yes mate. Bit of a pain in a 30l boiler used to dunk sparge big beers but lots of room in the 65l one. Problem is now that the boiler is a lot wider than my last one and the bag dosnt fit round the rim. Possible new bag on the horizon

My kiwi pilsner, its been a month since I was underwhelmed by it last. It's still slightly underwhelming but has improved, it's way undercarbed, however it does taste like a pilsner, hops are lovely and really suite it. If I could get some gas in this it would be nice I reckon.

I sent my wife I pic of the 65l one on get er brewed and she took the hint and ordered it for Christmas. The wife and kids were amazed at how excited i was on Christmas morning. Thing is massive. 3 elements. 2kw 1kw 500w. No time at all getting to a boil.

Just had a look. Looks the job. I need to get my garden sort this summer. Built a man cave for me to brew in.

Ha ha I built a man cave to drink in converted a shed to a bar 12 by 10 ft. Sold 2 cars today that I had sitting here for a while and tried to get the wife to agree to buying a larger shed to brew and drink in. Didn’t go well. Had to look at kitchen cupboard doors and wall paper for an hour.
What sort of man cave did you get ?

I want to build one myself. The mate is getting one built but it's costing him 10g FFS. I need to get the ground work sorted first.

If I paid 10g on one it would need to have a bed in it as I would be homeless. Cheap and cheerful is the way to go.
I brew in the garage but it’s a steel shed one 32ft by 20ft and draughty as hell not ideal but it does the job

Looking to do this with my garage, plan to insulate, take garage door off and replace with stable doors and get proper plumbing/electrics installed. I reckon I can do the insulating bit but thats about it.

The plumbing and electrics are easy for me as I’m a spark and a plumber ( worked for a small contractor for years and got trained in plumbing)
It’s not as hard as you think.

It’s nothing like my one. It’s tin with a tin roof and if it rains outside it blows in under the roof panels and being in the country the mice have free reign in the place. Starsan is my best friend believe me.

Mine is tin roof, block work, ivy grows in from one side so I need to make it plant/weatherproof. It has a tap in it so yes I could probably manage plumbing, i did the utility room. Electrics have a special fear for me having been shot across a room touching a live wire when I was clearing an old classroom years ago!

How do you chill your wort in one of them boiler's. Have you made a immersion chiller to fit

Not yet. That’s why I’m letting it chill overnight. I have a copper immersion chiller that I will adapt to suit as I’m not going to buy anything else brewing related for a while. Well that’s the theory anyway.

If in doubt short it out. Electrics is like plumbing without water

Beer is good though. Super low bitterness and super juicy
