A try of one of my recently bottled barley wines to see if its fit to put in with one or two other hand made things as Christmas gifts. Having promised so much, its disappointing- finished too high I would say. Carbonation about right but no head at all. Might chill a few down to have with cheese but won't be inflicting them on the neighbours/ family.

Couple of years ago, our local Wetherspoons had Belgian Blue on continously during all of December. (we are not far from Bradfield Brewery)
At one point, a nine gallon was lasting about 4 hours
Knew about that next day also

I seen a review on YouTube that said the triple black IPA had alcohol burn. They didn't rate it very well. I must pick one up to try

Yes I brewed it using wlp530. It's coming in at 8.5 %. Very smooth
