My last day off tomorrow, then I have to work up until Christmas 😢 Bring on the beer!

Starting with a Sour Grinch which was very nice. Chocolate, hazelnut and cranberry sour. All flavours present plus the tannins from the cranberry make it feel like I'm drinking red wine. View attachment 37822
About to open this, a bit apprehensive... 😰

I’m starting tonight with a pint of my Best Bitter, inspired by @strange-steve drinking the one I sent him. Wife is having a shandy from the same beer.

Thought I would walk to the local brewery to pick up a few beers ...started pissing down, got soaked then the brewery was closed😐
My English Pale will do.

If you’re a bit low on choices you’re welcome to pop round for a 4-pint of Summer Breeze or Czech Pilsner or Best Bitter or Saison or American Pale or something.

Wife is having the same again, I’m having a pint of my “Festival” APA. I’m thinking of renaming this beer because I think too many beers have Festival in their name. I was thinking maybe “Jester”. Again, not yet at it’s best - the problem with brewing lots of beer very quicklythey all are not at their best for a while 🤷‍♂️

Maybe Summer Breeze or Pilsner next because they are a little (few days😂) more conditioned.

Cheers mate. I thought I would get a couple of their cans for my brother and pick up a 2 pint bottle for something different that was lower abv. Hay ho have to drink my big bottle of Triple instead

Next up is @Pennine American wheat.
It pours a lovely hazy golden colour with a high carbonation.
Aroma I am picking up some orange and citrus, bready malt, sweetness. It has something strange in the background. I checked the bottle you have used a mix of us05 and wb-06. I can definitely pick out the wheat beer yeast.
Taste is very similar to the aroma. It finishes very dry on the palate. Not sure but in my mind I think it should drink like an IPA but the wb-06 kicks it in a different direction.
Over all very interesting beer to try out. I am not very well experienced in the style. Always great to share

Was looking at how I could make it work back in late January after discovering CCC and Broken Dreams. Unfortunately life got busy and it got put on hold. Then lockdown happened. So I placed an online order, periodically ordering again and hoping one day to be able to make the visit safely!

Next up an Electric Bear Lumen Pils. It's nice and refreshing with nice honey malt tones, but there's a little something I can only describe as 'vegetal' in the background.

Not my first of the night 'hic'... @matt76 chequered flag ipa.

First impressions, black as your hat, head that lasts forever, nice citrus aroma.

First few sips I wasnt sure about it, almost like it didnt taste like it looks like it should, know what I mean? No, I'm not sure either. The more you drink the better it gets, citrus, then resin, then way, way, after some roasty malt, lovely.

Perfectly carbed, medium mouthfeel, this is a lovely beer.

This one is 4.8%, not sure I would have known if it wasnt on the label.

Love it, another great beer. 👍
