Hazelwood....nuts...in one of my many patio pots I have a little nut tree growing from nuts I foraged from the hedge behind my house and of which a few were left on the outside garage window sill....and must have fallen into the pot. It has nuts coming on it...but not many!

We have a squirrel that seems to be constantly burying nuts in our planters.

It might be a while before you have enough to make a beer from your little nut tree!

What time we started today 😬 haha. My first beer is now a week old in bottle, to try or not to try? 🤔

Well I'm quite surprised it actually tastes really good, probably a bit too malty if I'm being picky (not sure if this will fade out during the rest of the conditioning) but getting the juicy tropical fruits and a peach/mango aftertaste... Slight carbonation but I do like it too fizzy anyway.

I meant to put I DON'T like my beers too carbonated

the problem with drinking green beer is it will change, and if it was good green you will expect it to taste like that. potentially ruining a perfectly delicious beer in its later life.

i still try early though.

drinking a "lager" with pia yeast.
as this ages im not liking it as much. not sure if its the yeast or the cascade or the pilsner malt. has an earthy barnyard hay type of flavor im not appreciating.
i love the aroma pia gives though.

That sounds like you may well have an infection as earthy/barnyard is the exact descriptor for some lambic ales

"Earthy, haylike, musty nuances; common in spontaneously fermented beers such as saisons and lambics. An off flavor in other styles. Also called farmlike and horselike."
