I'll definitely be brewing it again so I'll keep to the recipe next time, ever tried a different liquid malt extract with it as the mj ones are hard to get hold of at minute?

enjoying a way to green, flyer hopped esb i brewed a couple of weeks ago. been in the bottle since friday but is surprisingly well carbed for the style, i might stick them in the cooler to keep it slightly undercarbed. bitterness is a little to much but that will likely fade once the yeasties drop out. this might be the best bitter i have ever made. the s-04 is not giving off any of that sourness i get normally, wonder if that is a function of the hops? i dont really use a lot of english hops other than ekg.

Yeah, tried an MJ amber one and it was drinkable but more malty than the original, so won't be doing that again

I've never had a problem but before they upscaled the brewery I know it was hard to get but my work break is at 11:30 on Friday and that's when they went on sale so I've always been lucky enough to get to them. I'm on Instagram as @ipatasters

Jury is out for now but the aroma seems a bit disappointing.

Dan what's your grain bill. Are you doing closed transfers to the keg. I can never seem to hit the colour. I am just waiting on my last attempt using 1kg of golden naked oats.

Yeah, closed transfer but I filled 10 bottles with the beergun before filling the keg and the picture is beer from one of those bottles.

Grain bill is:
70% extra pale
10% wheat malt
10% naked golden oats
10% chit malt

I’ve seen quite a few posts from people struggling to get the peanut butter flavour so maybe that’s a bit of a Dark Art too!

Hazelwood....nuts...in one of my many patio pots I have a little nut tree growing from nuts I foraged from the hedge behind my house and of which a few were left on the outside garage window sill....and must have fallen into the pot. It has nuts coming on it...but not many!
