MmmBeer
Brewer
Just started the first pint from my corny of Old Peculiar (GW clone). The carbonation's not quite there yet, but its drinking nicely, should be cracking in a few days time.
Made me chuckle too.. most amusingly named advent beer for sureLove the name!
When you say 6 days old do you mean 6 days since you kegged it?Starting by sampling my English Pale Ale, 4.73%. It still tastes very young (it is only 6 days old!) but is also quite nice.

Don't let Brewdog see that! They'll have it on sale as Cow's Nest Best or something!!Well, it was last night, but I did take a photo of it, because it was somewhat startling (milky, including the head), but quite drinkable. Half-and-half home brew and "commercial" cider, probably about 7% ABV.
Sounds nice did you post your recipeMy three bean stout is good already. If it gets better than this it will be a 10 tbh. Delighted with it.
Credit to @strange-steve for bringing tonka beans to my attention

I posted the grain bill somewhere. I will find it, it's in a thread about stout recipes.... I assume this can go woth any stout grain bill of your liking though. The hops were just challenger and EKG per GHs milk stout recipe. Plus 150g of lactoseSounds nice did you post your recipe
What kind of flavour do you get of a Tonka beanI posted the grain bill somewhere. I will find it, it's in a thread about stout recipes.... I assume this can go woth any stout grain bill of your liking though. The hops were just challenger and EKG per GHs milk stout recipe. Plus 150g of lactose
The important parts though....
75g coffee beans in vodka, in after 6 days. 5 crushed up tonka beans soaked in vodka and lobbed in after 7 days. Cocoa tincture made form 150g of nibs, poured in on bottling day.
Fermented with beoir yeast.
The tonka is just right. The coffee and chocolate flavours I would consider upping slightly next time.
