Started with a Pacific Ale

Mainly Galaxy hops, just not my go to beer, even though it is All Australian.
My wife reckons she could eat the crutch out of an Abo's underpants so time to start dinner.
A nice Irish extra Stout while I prepare the veggies.

Fresh green French beans from the garden.

Along with freshly dug Kipfler spuds, and a euphoria glow from the stout, I think my hydrometer has been lying to me.

It's not my favourite style if I am honest. More of a challenge to see if I could brew one. I much prefer a proper IPA with a nice bit of malt backbone

Me too. My tastes have definitely shifted towards more of a dry and bitter style.

Starting today with my English Bitter. It’s a nice easy drinking ale and is almost at it’s best now.

One from last night. Advent no.21 Juice Shack. Smelled of fruit salad sweets, tasted sweet and fruity too. Tropical and coconut creamy.

Time for the Czech Pilsner. It’s probably a bit early for 6.3% but hey, it’s Christmas!

My second (and last) beer of the day is an early tasting of my Vienna lager.

It's still a bit cloudy and yeasty tasting, but also very smooth and malty underneath. Needs another month or so lagering before it becomes good I'd say. It just so happens that the wife has bought me some storage boxes for the shed, I'm going to insulate them next week so I can store my beers in there and forget about them.

I liked the juice shack a lot, it was basically a pina colada hah. Nice for the novelty

Have there been any non-pale ales yet?

There have been a few lagers and a sour, and one ale that was very pilsner tasting. but yes mostly ales although that's no bad thing in my opinion. The wyeast 1272 is quite distinctive

I'm actually upset I didn't get my annual matching Christmas jumper this year
The boxes are great though, one for the shed tools, one for beer. Both are weather proof, and they double up as seating too!
