German pilsner for me tonight. Glad I didn't keg this, it's too easy drinking. Also I think this is the first clear beer I've ever made so I had to take this pic as proof.

Now you showing off ☺️

Youngs Harvest Barley Wine Kit made with Wyeast West Yorkshire slurry (taken from a batch of Yorkshire bitter I brewed) and two and a half kilos of Marris Otter final gravity is 1.017 with an APA of 8% and it is already rather drinkable malty, although you can taste the alcohol am looking forward to this once it has had time to carb up and condition.

Door 11.
Barley wine aged in peated whisky barrels
It's certainly a taste sensation 😯
Peaty, smokey, sweet and with a odd ripe tropical fruit vinious character.
A unique beer and one will definitely be enough.
Best before sept 2030! I'm wondering if a bit of age might help round this out 🤣
acheers.

I’ve brought in 3 bottles from the garage. I’ve not put an indicator on the bottle top as to what they are so it’s a mystery. Anyone want to hazard a guess?View attachment 37263
Right, so I picked a fairly neutral glass and made a start on these mystery beers. First up was the Grolsch bottle. It’s my Sorachi saison - I mainly did this in 330ml bottles but I did do a couple of larger ones:

Started with a bottle of Stella.
Now after my first home brew lager since starting again I've preferred the home brew,
also prefer Lidl lager but in Lidl today on offer were 660ml Stella and i like the bottles 😁

I might buy 4 more tomorrow at £1.49 each to get a set of 6 😁

After bottling a supermarket wine i got half a glass near the trub as a taster and was impressed.

I'm onto a bottle of shop bought merlot now, well nearly finished,
And have plenty to get on with after another delivery from brew2bottle this morning to add to kits i already have 👍

That saison went down far too easily!

Beer 2 was my “Japanese” rice lager, so the 2 beers have been well paired since they both have Sorachi Ace as the sole hop:

And just to prove @strange-steve isn’t the only one tonight with a crystal clear beer (the head on it is pretty **** though):

I need to start collecting bottles for my next brew over Christmas. I’m only starting out. So I picked up 20 x Bottles of Hop House 13. It will be nice to have the signature of Arthur Guinness on the bottles.
