Just finished last beer from @Stu's Brews , this one was a chocolate, coffee & vanilla porter. Looked great and had a chocolate sweet aroma. Silky smooth , maybe a little too smooth for my liking but that's just me. Flavours were lovely, moca choca...milk chocolate and coffee with a slight sweetness maybe from the vanilla..any lactose? Well brewed beer 🍻

No lactose, just a healthy dose of oats and a 1.020FG to give it plenty of body. Glad you enjoyed it athumb..

My daughter’s dog dragged me to the pub again today so I was drinking Harvey’s Sussex Best. At home I’ve picked out these three beauties to start.

Drinking the second of two bottles of this tonight. Picked a couple of bottles up on my travels having heard good things.

Unfortunately, both have had a very strong solvent / metallic flavour to the point of being undrinkable.

Anyone else experienced this with this beer? Given the affection for this on some forums I can’t think it’s inherent to the beer…
