What sort of dark lager? Just started crashing a Schwarzbier, swapsy in a couple of months

I was in Liverpool before Christmas and had more than a few pints of this. It was the stand out beer of the weekend and I am not a big lager fan

Have had it before, it's very nice. Just a dark Scandi lager, no spices from memory.

Not sure why it's called a Christmas lager. My recipe is pilsner low and high Carmel malt. Carafa 2 at mash out for colour, saaz hops for bittering and flavour

Some of yesterday's, weather came in early afternoon, so we called it a day and had a Weissbier in an on-the-piste bar and played the pass the pigs game.
Earlier, there was a little clear spell above the cloud before more rolled in. My favourite own photo of the day.

The local Zillertal brewery Weissbier.
Good stuff.
I'll probably move onto their Pilsner after this as I find Weissbier quite filling and want to save room for a meal we have booked later.
