Hi,

I'm still learning all about home brewing, and I have the smaller 15ltr Coopers fermenter, which I like due to the burp and release lid. So I'd like to try a larger batch with a krausen collar.

If there is one available, I would be grateful to buy it! Postage preferable.

Many thanks folks!

Like hens teeth to buy over here. You can buy the fermenter alone in Australia but last time I looked you cant here. Hopefully a forumite will have one to sell you.

I started off with the coopers FV but eventually had to chuck it after several years service. If the worst comes to the worst and you cant find one. You can just use a regular FV and cover it with cling film held on with an elastic band like I do. This is in effect a DIY 'burp and release lid' albeit without the krausen coller.

Yeah, I saw that they were available in Oz as stand-alone units. If there isn't one, I'll give your idea using cling film!

I'm just wary getting airlocks as I don't have much experience with them.

Thanks for the tip!

A blow off tube? Like a tube from the fv to another bucket with water? Hmm, that could work. Has anyone had experience with this?
