Get some 5 litre water bottles and drill a 9mm hole in the lid for the airlock, some members don't bother and just loosen the lid slightly to let the CO2 escape.

Chippy I knew you would know. So you don't use bung just hole for airlock. Seal it at all thinking would need some sort of grommet

A bung needs a 28mm hole, i believe a 9mm hole is a little smaller than the airlock so its a tight fit, you can buy grommets cheap but i don't know the drill size.

I already had a step drill which was the right size for the 28mm bungs, they are expensive so not something you would want to buy just for this job, this is much cheaper (if you decide to get one check the size your bungs before ordering) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pro-Hole-...hash=item5d47c0e44c:m:mDZkU4KhxQRSbJb61HF1e9g

9mm hole saves cost of Bung aswell can buy 5 water bottles for the cost of a glass Demi atm on tesco
