Threads

I watched the film “Threads” today. Having grown up in Sheffield and seeing many familiar places it was a gut-punch. The events leading up to nuclear war in the film have an all too close parallel with how the world is heading today.

If you haven’t seen the film yet (movie seems too flippant a word for something so plausible) get it on iPlayer. Just for once it’s worth turning the idiot box on for.

Heard a discussion about it on the radio a couple of days ago. Film reviewer said it was the scariest movie he'd ever seen and he saw it when it was first shown.

Not sure I've the courage, but it's on my list. Bleak.
