Galena
Landlord.
I am very tempted to order one of their new mini casks to try and get my version closer to the real thing.
I thought you might be interested in this short video just out today with 5 points Brewery talking about their Best Bitter on which my recipe was based.
Can you share your recipe please.
I see you're we're both in Warrington too! Which pub if you don't mind me asking? Can you share your recipe please.

I had no idea there was a kit for this. It's the kit from The Malt Miller:
Yeah, I stumbled across it by accident. Would normally buy ingredients separately but turned out to be really convenient and a great result with minimal hassle!I had no idea there was a kit for this.

Sorry, misread the 'Landlord' tag as actually being a landlord - I'm new!Haven't been for a while to a pub but when I do Costello's in Stockton Heath or Appleton Thorn Village Hall.
Shame If Costello's has shut for good I live in Appleton where are you?Sorry, misread the 'Landlord' tag as actually being a landlord - I'm new!
I think Costello's has closed down (my barber worked behind the bar there), sadly.
Grappenhall. Don’t get to the pub much but if I do it’s usually the Parr Arms. Grappenhall beer festival is usually quite good.Shame If Costello's has shut for good I live in Appleton where are you?
I've just formulated with Vienna.I like the sound of the Five Points bitter....any subs for amber malt?
I got Vienna...and some brown I think..and Munich.
I thought about that but doesn't crystal add sweetness whereas amber doesn't?Another option would be to sub some of the crystal malt with a darker crystal and make up any shortfall with MO.
