this sounds to fun to miss out on, Im there. I like the hog roast idea. I have a gas hog roast but open fire sounds much better. if I drive I'll supply the baps, some big soft baps at that!
  :drink: :drunk:

I'm not certain that we will be able to have a hog roast / firepit, I shall ask!

It's a NO to the hogroast and firepit but we are welcome to take BBQ's :thumb:

I need about 10 bbq's and a truck load of coals but I think if we butchered the pig i could cook it all

I just told Mrs. Mole I will be going away for a weekend next May, she asked what for, and I told her.

She said “We'll see :hmm: ”

I'll be there ;)

Off topic, I have a very good friend who worked in Atherstone until quite recently. She told me that the name sign was imaginatively vandalised with the addition of an ‘R’ at the front and a ‘d’ at the end

"I went to visit one day but it was shut"

Sounds great, not far from me either. I'll be up for it subject to permission from SWMBO!

i will help out with anything if needed just let me know. if we have a brew day in this brewery can we all get a bottle or 2? I will donate 25kg of base malt to the thbf brew day if we can.

Ok guys and girls here are the categories for the beer competition.

Bitter/ Pale ale to SG1.040
Pale ale/ESB to SG 1.060
Continental Lager to SG 1.050
Dry Stout to SG 1.045
American Pale Ale to SG 1.055
Wheat beer to SG 1.055
The beer can be from kit, extract or grain.

As you can see there are only six categories but they are fairly open so have fun
No other categories will be added so please don't ask :nono:
You all have plenty of time to brew to one of the above categories so get to it

Tubby I know you said no other catorgories but It would be interesting if we had a forum receipe brew, where everyone brews the same thing, would highlight water issues etc it could be purely educational.

We have no objections to this, if the members want to come up with a recipe that falls into one of the six categories then brew to that recipe it would be quite interesting :thumb:

Yes I'm sure there will be c02.

We need to bear in mind that the Brewery will be hoping to take some money over the bar too though in exchange for hosting the event for us :thumb:
