Has anybody tried mixing two wines together to make a super wine? I'm waiting for a couple of experiments to finish fermenting then gonna mix them up :geek: would be nice to know if anybody has a recepie they would like to share
 
I don't understand why anyone would want to do this, if you make a wine to taste of Raspberry and another to taste of Cranberry, why risk ruining both by mixing them?

Why would this be super wine?

Done it but not to make a superwine. Just as an attempt to make something drinkable from a disaster. Last resort before it is sacrificed to the porcelain God. :lol:

Commonly known as blending useful when you have a wine which has turned out too dry or too sweet.

Don't know if it would make a super wine though but may make it more drinkable. :thumb:

if they havent finished how to you know what they are like?

if they dont work bottle them any way and hide them for 6-12 months time is your friend then it comes to brewing
 
Lots of commercial wines are blended. They don't advertise the fact, but they don't hide it either.

Or one which is a bit bland and another which is a bit too acidic.

As GA and Old Peculier have said, blending is usually a last resort to save something from going down the drain.

But as iceo has suggested, hide them away and forget about them for some time first, although I wouldn't bother bottling and would leave them in DJs.
 
Same thoughts here. Ive a few too sweet whites (school boy novice errors) so am in the process of making some neutral whites dry as hell and then gunna blend with the sweets. Hopefully they will be super though!
