Hello,
The last kit i did in one of my king kegs had a very strange smell and taste to it, slighly chemically and slightly sulphur smelling. I have just cleaned the barrel out but the top with the valve still smells of that smell.

Could it be that the barrel top with the valve have corroded giving this smell, or do you think it is the smelly beer that has impregnated its smell into the top of the barrel?

I am worried the next brew will end up tasting the same?

It could be any number of things but I would guess that it is an infection :(
If the valve in the cap is brass give it a good soak in a strong solution of 50% unperfumed THIN bleach and 50% water over night, rinse well with cold water and finally rinse with a kettle full of boiling water :thumb:
It is wort giving the barrel a good soak in in sanitising solution overnight too ;)
