I’m having second thoughts about the Fermentasaurus and now considering a malt mill. I’m going to buy clothes this afternoon so should have an idea of my budget tonight.

I thought I was the only person that still worried about how to spend birthday money!!! Having just received £60 I now wonder what to do with it! As a fairly new brewer I already have an all-in-one system to brew AG and have just ordered a stainless steel fermenter. Now I need to spend that precious 60 quid before the kids nick it from me and buy Haribos!!!! Welcome to suggestions.......as long as it’s not Haribos!!

Nae room for a fridge. Only place I have to ferment is my brew cupboard (cupboard under the stairs) and the door is only 95cm (or 105cm I can’t remember which) high.

I fitted a fridge in my cupboard under the stairs.

Temperature controlled fermentation is one of the best things you can invest in and will make a huge difference to rate quality and range of beers you can make. With £60 I think you should be able to get a second hand fridge, heater and an inkbird controller and your good to go.

Sadly £60 doesn’t buy you the space for that fridge......

Right, I’ve spent it on the above and a couple of bits and pieces (15L bucket to catch grain, star san, tap etc for the Speidel fermenter).

Just need to get some grain to crush now! Been shopping around and the Crisp Clear Choice Pale is £21 for 25kg on GEB but £40 on Maltmiller!!! Think I’ll be sticking with GEB!
