slight sulpher smell

HELP.....first go at all grain, slight sulpher smell im on the second fermentation and 3 days away from bottling, snuck a half pint from the FV and it's a bit watery ( not much body ) but i think i can detect a very slight hint of sulpher ( OK a little bit farty )...You CAN drink it but it's just a tad strange. the recipe is from the net errr meadowbreath i think it's called.
So what did i do wrong

glad you mentioned that sulphery taint - dont know if its relevant but i picked up the same thing from one of mine and ended up pouring 5 gals down the drain!
I put it down to not getting the wort chilled and under yeast fast enough which may have allowed some contamination. there didnt appear to have anything else wrong, in fact i was otherwise pleased with the outcome.
brew was a dave line clone of samuel smiths old brewery bitter .
Since then i use a yeast starter and wort chiller and thank the god of brewing i've not had a repetition - hope it helps!

yeah , i was wonderin about that and it sound like the same problem.on a similar note have you ever heard anything to the affect that doing your boil with the lid on can leave you with an off taste as well,could be another cause(do you think)?
