Selection do (if you can find them) 6 bottle kits as a sampler. seem to be rarer than hens teeth at the moment. The 30 bottle Selection kits come with a whopping 15lt of grape juice concentrate. I did make a few of the Beaverdales (think the Chabis blush & Californian red were the nicest),but I have been spoilt now. They have gone up sharply, but Stonehelm still have them for a reasonable price.

I do make the odd WOW (apple normally) & a couple of fresh fruit wines. I would love to try one of the really high end limited editions, just once. But at £3.50-£4.00 for a bottle of homebrew sanity soon kicks back in.

Thank you for your kind comments, I thought I show you the 'business' end

Aye my LHBS have never had a six bottle Selection kit :( Best Beaverdale red I've done is the Shiraz I've done for this Christmas, bulk ageing in a DJ it already tastes and smells stunning ;)

Remember that highend homebrew bottle at £4 is usually a £15-£20 equivalent, but you're right, it's a big outlay and I just worry that something may go wrong.... :? It's homebrew for wealthy peeps

Thanks for the info ;)

Yes, it was an attempt to carry on homebrewing even though I don't get many brew days. I can only brew less frequently so I make bigger batches instead; that means keeping beer for longer though (I don't actually drink it faster than before!). Its surprising really; a few styles each of 4-corny batches, some conditioning whilst others are dispensing - suddenly you need about a million cornies.

It has mostly worked, but brews like hefe and aromatic hop numbers loose their freshness over several months; plan B will be to try shortening brewdays instead, to fit more brews in.

Cheers
