Hello,

I've been asked to brew some celebration beers, one for a wedding and the other for a reunion party. I have a corny keg and it's set up in my kegerator.

If I were to get myself a picnic tap would I be able to serve beer quite easily (and what portable co2 would I need?) I would have to transport the beer 200+miles for the reunion and I worry about beer exploding everywhere as I trundle up the M6!

If you clear the beer first into a secondary then into the corny you can force carb it and it won't go cloudy as its racked and cleared,it won't explode ,as for the tap I've a sparkler fitted into the handle of mine with around 6 feet of 3/8 food grade pipe stepped down to 5/16 with a jc quick disconnect into the tap, serves the beer great without the glass of foam, the pipe is wrapped around the corny though, alternatively you can get a quick connect bar style tap.don't bother with the picnic taps I got one and don't like them
Oh and I have an s30 one way co2 injector valve in the cap but you have to have a pressure release in the cap too

I don't have a kegerator, haven't room for one so beers served at room temp, when I had the cornice it was fitted with a sparkler tap on the handle and a short 3/16 out line to the tap around 10 inches long.always had trouble with the foaming but since upping the outline inner bore and using a length around 6 feet its great at serving the beer at around under 10 psi, because of the extra outline around the top of the keg I cover it with a black binliner to keep the light away from it being a clear outline
