perforated sheet /mash tun false bottom

Any one know where i can get a false bottom for my mash tun that's not like £25 , or where i can get a stainless steel perforated sheet around 450mm by 450mm max (holes around 1mm/1.5mm) again not costing like £20 odd pounds , thanks, mark.

Thats a real tough one mate, my prefered supplier of most things home brew are near the £30 mark for a 12" false bottom, e-bay seems just as bad, and had a quick google at metal off-cut suppliers only to find similar prices.

A possible solution would be to buy a full sheet between a number of people, think the smallest is 1 Mtr x 1 Mtr. :wha:

I will ask around a few of my engineering buddies, but don't hold your breath. :pray:

At over £300 per 2x1m sheet you'll be very lucky to find anyone selling that cheap.
