Hi all
This might sound silly but bear with me
Over the past 2 nights i have been drinking my EDME Lager that i bottled about 5 weeks ago, on friday i had 4 pints and it was lovely, but i noticed that although it kept a nice head there was very little in the way of bubble activity, must have been about 4 or 5 rising to the top at any one time...not really a problem i thought but i would have liked to see a few more.
Last night i sank another 4 pints! and EVERY one of these was totally different, bubbles galore, i am talking hundreds of them! just how i like it!
Thing is these were taken from the same batch, so there is no way that it could just be a fluke that 4 the night before were lifeless and last night they were all perfect?
I conditioned them all the same way, teaspoon of sugar etc. Could it be to do with the glass?? as i seem to remember somewhere that detergent would have a negative affect on bubbles. However you would have thought that after my first pint on friday if it was the glass then it would have maybe corrected itself on the 2nd, 3rd pint etc??
Not really a massive issue, just curious i guess
Thanks all
Chris
