So this is day 9 of my Wherry brew, might not be able to see on the photo but there are kind of white almost fatty looking deposits on the top, is this normal?
Also Im waiting for a new seal for my PB to be delivered, is it ok to leave in the bucket for a few more days until it arrives?
Thanks 😊

It looks great. It also looks as if it's dropping clear. I'd bottle it up if I were you. It's not going to improve from hanging around in a bucket when you keep taking the lid off. (No criticism meant, I'd have done the same. - Fact remains...)

Yes - I try never to open my FV esp to do a hydrometer reading, relying instead on the 2-2-2 method I came across on here - do a search

It has never failed me although some might say I may have been able to get kegging sooner

Another thing which works for me is I use one of these [below] and when fermentation slows and you might have to wait ages for a bubble in airlock I press the lid a few times to "lower" the loose plastic inner "bell" . Then later I check if its risen again - if it has and I am on say Day 10 I repeat on Day 11 Day 12 etc till the fermentation has slowed or even maybe stopped

Then its lid off - test - barrel
