We are moving house to Aounth Normanton nr Alfreton in Derbyshire. Any locals able to advise on local water quality?

Here in N Notts my only water treatment is a campden tablet and get great beer.

This kind of thing can vary over short distances, you're far better off asking Severn Trent :

Assuming you're Alfreton then 11 Clark is about 150 ppm CaCO3 equivalent so somewhat hard but otherwise not that mineralised with only 14 Cl, 40 SO4 so you'll need to bump that up for most styles.

But then comparing it with Bilsthorpe Supply Zone ZNT27 it's not that different - Bilsthorpe is 12 Clark, 20 Cl and 20 SO4 - so not really much different.
