I’ve finalised my recipe, I’ve still to sort out my next couple of brews then I’m getting the order in.
Style guidelines here, no indication of expected proportion of rye. I’m going big on this one, but I’m expecting to be the outlier.

I am also going heavy on the Rye - I have rice hulls at the ready! Bit concerned that I will be pushing the malt flavour guidelines as well; but they are only guidelines. Fantastic service by MM - ingredients arrived already (I only ordered yesterday). Just waiting on some hops from CML now. If they arrive tomorrow, I might try to get brewing this weekend (Santa gifted me COVID so I am house bound).

Just ordered my ingredients - planning on brewing next weekend (7th/8th) assuming everything turns up on time.

Not included any rice hulls as I'm 'only' using 15% rye so hopefully can avoid a stuck mash just by doing a protein rest.

I’m sitting just north of 40% rye malt and rye based specialty malts. I’m step mashing, starting off with a solid protein rest and adding a couple of handfuls of rice hulls. What could possibly go wrong!
I will rephrase my comment about going heavy on the Rye. I am going light on rye at just over 20%.

Yes, I’m not that methodical. I usually chuck a handful in 2/3 of the way through mashing in. Or 2 handfuls for a wheat beer. I’m of the view that a good protein rest is essential for wheat beers, most of mine are around the 55% mark. I’m applying that to the rye on this one
