Mentioned in this thread already, but the boss buck tripod looks great. It splits to 4 parts for storage (base and 3 legs) and already has a pulley fitted. You can even insert timber legs if you like living on the edge.

why not drain the pot, into FV, it wont have to be all, yes you will lose temperature but no extra kit needed.

Ive got a wood. And I've decided to make a wooden timber frame with a motor on top. Hoping to have a go at this today.

something along the lines of a mechanics engine removing hoist might do but obviously not too industrial. They are on wheels so easy to position. Just a thought

You could fit a couple of joist hangers to opposite walls and span with a piece of 4 x2 then hang hoist from 4x2. Voila!

Have you thought about using a folding engine crane? It will lift a fair old weight and then you fold it up and put it in the corner until you need it again. You can get them from Machine Mart

thank you for all the advise. Im going with a timber structure with a low geared motor on top. It will bug me like mad however as my brewery is brilliant white and clean looking. wood structure dosnt fit in!

maby ill just have to convert to a 3 pot system?
