How long does bottled water stay fresh for

Bought a 5L bottle of mineral water from Tescos the other day and used 1L to make a Starsan solution for bottling that evening. Should I make up a solution with the other 4L or will the water be ok as it is until I need it. I just thought the plain water might start to go off after the bottle has been opened.

I tend to make up 5 litres at a time, that way you don't have to worry about it going off.
