H&B have another 'buy one get one half price' offer on again, which certainly covers their own brand LME which normally costs £2.99 for a 1lb jar. If you buy two jars at a time this works out at £5 per kilo. I've just bought myself a few jars for my store.
I regularly use this LME to top up kits and make small extract brews and as far as I am concerned it's fine for brewing (or I wouldn't keep buying it!)

H&B also do a meridian branded malt extract, smaller jar but that works out at £4.03/kg with the offer...
;)

...will do. I’ve got a couple of jars, one for starters and one to bump up the OG of a RIS I’m planning.

I use the 454 grm jars of h and b for partial mashes and grab em when on offer and never had a problem with it,also used the potters which is a lot darker, good for stouts etc.

I've just bought some h&b lme 450g jars at £2.99 bogof. They didn't have a meridian branded one like mentioned, only a meridian cane extract jar about 900g I think, is this completely different to lme?
