I think the blame lies solely at the ^%$£ at the supermarket who sent the beer back to Hogs Back (or any other brewery facing the same thing). If they took a moment to read the label - or even understand the products on their own shelves, they would have handed it smartly back to the whinging customer with instructions to pay more attention in future.

Is it possible for the written word to 'sound' exactly like Victor Meldrew?
 
Yes, sorry - I should have blamed the supermarkets, not the breweries.

When ever I buy beer at the excellent beer shop in the maltings, the shop keeper always makes a point of telling me if beers are bottle conditioned and to leave it to settle for 24 hours. :thumb:
 
What we need is a list of bottled beers which use the primary strain in the bottle... anyone know of such a list?
